After you have successfully completed the compensation measure, we will need further documents from you. We will inform you of this in good time. Among other things, we will need a certificate of good conduct from you. This document serves as proof that you have no criminal record.
Please note:
- Do you currently live in a third country (outside the EU / EEA / Switzerland)?
If so, please apply for a certificate of good conduct from the competent authority in your country in good time before you enter the country.
Please note: You will also need a translation of your foreign certificate of good conduct and a German certificate of good conduct. However, you will receive a separate request from us to apply for this.
- Do you have EU citizenshipor live in the EU/EEA/Switzerland?
If you live in Germany, please apply for a European certificate of good conduct for submission to the authorities (document type “O”) from the competent German authority upon request.
Alternatively, you can apply for the certificate of good conduct from the competent foreign authority in the respective EU member state before you enter Germany. If the certificate of good conduct is not issued in German, you will need a translation.
Please note: The certificate of good conduct must not be older than 3 months (calculated from the date on which we receive the document).
