As the recognition procedures from 01.07.2023 are based exclusively on the PflBG and PflAPrV, there is no fundamental grandfathering provision. In particular, the professional concepts that must be proven as part of the recognition as a comparable institution or for the implementation of knowledge examinations differ from those under the AltPflBG/KrPflBG. For this reason, the requirements according to PflBG and PflAPrV must be proven. However, the facilities previously recognized as comparable can initially continue to work as usual. The LfP will approach the facilities within the first year and check the new approval as a comparable facility or the requirements for the acceptance of knowledge examinations. If there is an authorization to carry out adaptation courses and knowledge examinations, this always applies to the whole of Bavaria
